Company History

Adventure in Building, Inc. was incorporated in 1990 in Cocoa, Florida. Early construction projects included building a new custom home on Merritt Island, Florida, and residential and commercial remodeling and additions. When the business relocated to Orlando in 1991, speculative renovation of residential property was the main focus. In mid 1997, Monarcha began preconstruction consulting for professional Builder/Remodelers in the Central Florida area. For the last 27 years, consulting activity has expanded to include helping homeowners with "aging-in-place" aka "ease-of-use" planning, helping builders, remodelers and design professionals with plan review and estimating, and helping attorneys with construction related issues.

Biblical perspective of the value of pre-planning...

Luke 14:28-30 - Jesus was speaking about making sure you want to follow Him as there are associated costs. Jesus gives an example of planning ahead...

"...for who would begin construction of a building without first getting estimates and then checking to see if he has enough money to pay the bills? Otherwise he might complete only the foundation before running out of funds. And then how everyone would laugh! See that fellow there? they would mock. He started that building and ran out of money before it was finished!"   

 

Monarcha Marcet 

is the Owner/President of Adventure in Building, Inc. She is a licensed Building Contractor with the State of Florida (CBC028164) having received a Bachelor of Design in Architecture and a Master of Building Construction from the University of Florida

(Go Gators!). 

An Architectural degree laid the foundation for an understanding of working drawings and an ability to visualize three dimensions from two - a critical strength in estimating from plans.

Monarcha has the reputation of being "detailed oriented" and takes pride in noticing those aspects of a project often overlooked by others.
